Return & Refund Policy

Events are services, not products — there is nothing to "return" once a production is delivered. This policy explains, in plain terms, how payments, cancellations and refunds work when you engage Electric Point Events Sdn. Bhd. Specific figures for your project always appear in your signed proposal, which prevails where the two differ.

Deposits

A booking deposit — typically thirty percent of the agreed fee — secures your event date and our team's commitment. Once paid, we begin work and decline other bookings for that date, so the deposit becomes non-refundable fourteen days after payment. Within the first fourteen days, deposits are refundable in full less any third-party costs already committed on your instruction.

Cancellation by the client

If you cancel a confirmed engagement, the refund depends on how far work has progressed:

  • More than 90 days before the event: all fees beyond the deposit are refunded, minus supplier and venue commitments already made on your behalf.
  • 90 to 31 days before the event: fifty percent of fees paid beyond the deposit are refunded, minus committed third-party costs.
  • 30 days or fewer before the event: fees are non-refundable, as production is substantially complete and crew are booked.

Committed third-party costs are always documented — you will see exactly which invoices your money has covered.

Rescheduling

We would rather move an event than cancel one. One rescheduling to a new date within twelve months is accommodated without penalty where our calendar and your venue allow, with any supplier date-change fees passed through at cost. Rescheduling requested within fourteen days of the event may incur crew standby charges.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event we cannot deliver a confirmed engagement for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit, within fourteen days. Where delivery is prevented by circumstances beyond either party's control — severe weather, government restriction, venue closure — we first pursue rescheduling; if no workable date exists, fees are refunded less documented, unrecoverable third-party commitments.

Consulting engagements

Consulting sessions may be cancelled or moved without charge up to five working days before the session, and are billed in full within that window. Deliverables already issued — audits, budgets, supplier reviews — are non-refundable once sent.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned by bank transfer to the account that made the original payment, within fourteen days of written confirmation, in Malaysian Ringgit.
